Kısaca Asterisk nedir?
Asterisk açık kaynak kod mimarisinde geliştirilmiş IPPBX uygulamasıdır. Bir çok digital-hibrit santralin extra ücret vererek sunduğu modüller standarttır. Kişisel ve Ticari olarak satılabilir, ücretsizdir. Web arayüz üzerinden yönetilebildiği için temel santral bilgisine sahip herkes tarafından kullanılabilir. Herhangi bir lisans yapısı olmadığı için donanım kapasitesi kadar genişleme imkanına sahiptir. PSTN hatlar için gateway, telefonlar için IPPhone ile istenen kapasitelere kadar genişleyebilir.
